The feather curling his left wrist isn’t ideal, but it can be covered up. Besides, he’s destined to be a priest, a high priest at that. It's a feather of Irene. He simply has a soulbond to Irene, he was made to serve her. Fate assigned him this role, as far as anyone else is concerned.
The hearts on his face are a bit of an issue, however.

So many of the Hermits are still in the medical wing. They’re used to respawn, familiar with easy deaths and the powerful rush of waking with buffs and status effects. The magic is so ingrained and normal to them, they hardly consider it anymore.
The MoonFall was different. Too many days and weeks of low-grade worry and terror, that came to a head as many panicked and tried to escape the incoming cataclysmic event. It’s taken a toll on their psyche, and too many of them are slow to recover. Physically, they’re all in good health. Mentally?

If there's one thing Cleo doesn't anticipate upon returning home from lunch with her best friend, it's a terrified, homeless child outside her house. Who hardly speaks English.
Fuck.
The small town of Hermitville, Oregon, is a boring, pleasant place. Especially for Cleo, who is perfectly content to keep the same old routine day after day.
Until Tango shows up, scared, young, and alone, having left an abusive household several months prior.
Cleo takes it upon herself to care for the child, enroll him in school, help him continue his life.
But for Tango, life can never be the same. He feels empty, and lost, in a country that isn't his, where everybody speaks a language he struggles to understand.
And then he meets Jimmy, and finds himself through music, and they show him that the grass really is greener on the other side.

Bdubs' heart pounds in his chest as he runs.
He knows the vampire is already tracking him by his sent and he can probably hear his stupid heart racing in his chest.
It's so dark, the human can barely see.
In a last ditch effort to hide he stands behind a thick trunked tree, squishing in on himself to make himself seem smaller, thus harder to see.
Bdubs puts a hand over his mouth, trying to make his breathing quieter, bis blood roars in his ears from running and from Adrenalin.
Bdubs risks peaking to the other side of the trunk.
Nothing.
Bdubs turns back to where he was a second ago and a blur of white fills his vision.

And then Jimmy catches sight of Tango making their way over to them, and he stops short in his tracks.

He wasn’t sure why he was meeting with him. It hadn’t been planned, Scar didn’t know, but it was a need. It plagued him through the whole night while he laid, curled up under all his blankets but still so cold, in his bed now located further away from the others. He’d pictured the wizard’s crimson eyes as he grinned up at them from outside the castle… and he remembered how they’d been green not so long ago.
Maybe that was why he was here. Because Scar was the only person on this server who understood a thing or two about starting with so much life and getting it all stripped away. Maybe even more so. Summary
Xisuma couldn’t sleep. This wasn’t a new problem by any means, at this point he was more likely to be up and suffering at 2 am than he was to be calmly asleep in bed. He’d been this way for weeks, holed up inside his temporary ‘home,’ which was beginning to feel more like a prison than anything else. His eyes drifted to the curtains, which blocked him from seeing anything outside his room, and he found that he didn’t have the strength to pull them back.

Summary
On a Saturday night at the resturant Bdubs frequented, there was a pianist. A tall, fair haired man who played so beautifully that Bdubs found himself captured by every single note. He had always loved music, and this was no different. But there was something about this man that had caught his attention in a way no one else ever had.
The pianist is handsome and smiles so sweetly, surely Bdubs can't be blamed for wanting to get to know him better. And besides, who's to say that a new friendship like this wouldn't be the start of something wonderful.
