Draco had been secretly raising Scorpius on his own since the boy was born and his fiancée was killed four years ago. He cared deeply for his son, and would lose his mind if anything happened to the small boy. For that reason, Draco had hid Scorpius from the public. No one knew he had a son at all, never mind a son that he kept and was raising. He refused to let anyone find out about his son and possibly hurt him.
It was a normal night.
Then Potter came crashing through his fireplace in a burst of floo powder.

Summary
Due to the interrupted year at Hogwarts, Harry's year is invited back for an eighth year. Most students return, mainly wanting to go back to the normalcy of a school routine after the war. The Slytherin dorms have never been emptier.
Draco spends most of his days skulking around the hallways on his own. None of his friends returned to Hogwarts, some were ashamed to show their faces after being on the Death Eater's side of the war, most were dead.
Eighth year was supposed to be calm, a peaceful year now that Voldemort was finally dead. But things are never peaceful in Hogwarts.

Lex had decided months ago that his relationship with Eve should follow it's natural, expected progression of sharing a living space. So she now shared his penthouse. It had to downside of no more alone time, since the girl was like a dog with separation anxiety, but he knew it was what was expected, so he didn't protest.
He didn't really care for her much. She was just useful. A face for LuthorCorp social media campaigns, a pretty body to bring with him to galas and events. He suspected that she had another man hidden away somewhere, but that wasn't a priority yet.
This all meant that occasionally, very very rarely, the two of them wound up on their sofa, the lights dim and the hour late, wine glasses in hand as they domestically existed in each others space.
