Being immortal means not much phases you. Except perhaps your private, extremely platonic letters to your rival throughout the years being put on display. A display that seems to suggest you were in love with each other. It gets even worse if that's the place you end up reuniting with said rival after centuries apart. The only thing making it worse would be reuniting with said rival in front of it after centuries apart.
