Summary
With the Watcher gone and Tango’s spirit finally put to rest, Jimmy and his friends are finally able to take a well-deserved break to focus on themselves.
Mumbo Jumbo, on the other hand, has a final report due at the end of the month involving all of his research of the paranormal over the past year. He’s pulled far too many all-nighters for it to be anything less than an A+. He’s also continued to run support for his friends on their ghost hunts, doing homework in Joel’s truck while watching their cameras at ungodly hours of the night.
On top of all of the stress that comes with ghost hunting, Mumbo’s computer (the main project that got him involved with ghost hunting in the first place) has been behaving strangely, and he hasn’t figured out what’s wrong with it.
Hopefully that fixes itself before he has to turn in the final draft.

Summary
Scar had a few reasons to believe he must’ve already been dead.
He was a navigator, and the ship he'd been sailing on went down in deep waters, and he was sure he'd drowned. That is until he'd come too on a piece of wreckage as a makeshift raft. Discovered, as days floating out in the empty water piled up, that he had an unlikely companion.
A creature? Or a ghost? Neither. Even if he felt it was the only option, that he died in the shipwreck due to what he saw emerging from the cobalt blue water, shifting violet scales that caught the sunlight. Large dark eyes staring up at him.
A siren in the guise of his love lost at sea.
Also, apparently, loved by the ocean. Enough to keep him. Enough to take him away.
Scar loved him more, but he wasn't stronger than the ocean.(Whumptober 2023: 10 - Stranded)

Maybe the universe really did hate him after all? It had cursed him to remember when everyone else forgot, time after time, round after round at the table till the cards were tossed, the board was flipped, and it started all over again. A new persona, a new land, and all his friends behaving like they'd never met before. He'd always had just one hope remaining, offered to him like the narrowest mercy. To bring a light of recollection and a blaze of fondness back into Scott's eyes.
He shouldn't have expected it to last forever. Apparently, he didn't deserve even that.

Summary
A collection of all the stories in Traveling Thieves, which is my Dark Fantasy, Hybrid Slavery, super angsty AU that spawned from my Whumptober 2023 prompt fills! Currently in semi-chronological order except for the first fic in the series, which will always be “I see the danger, it’s written there in your eyes” which if anyone does want to read the series in chronological order, I’d like them to start there! ^-^ I also occasionally place some stories in specific locations that I think work best for the reading order that aren't exactly where they'd be timeline-wise!
WARNING: THIS IS A WHUMP-CENTRIC, ANGST-CENTRIC, HURT/COMFORT (SOMETIMES NO COMFORT) DARK FANTASY AU.
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE read the tags before you dive into any stories of this one, this series is intended to be a place for me to try my hand at writing and exploring some darker themes.
There will be plenty of happy times in this, too, though! It's not all doom and gloom, I promise! I hope you'll enjoy!
