Summary
It was Knightley who suggested they run away from the orphanage together. He didn't know what exactly was happening, Simon would never tell anyone what he saw that night. It's not like it would do him any good. So they left together and from there, their teenage years were lived fighting poverty, finding themselves and navigating feelings. But deep down the memories that had stayed hidden, avoided, could change everything if they emerged.
A fic focusing on snapshots of Simon and Knightley's life if they had run away from the orphanage together, and if it were many years before Simon remembered the memories that eventually lead him down his murderous path.

Summary
Hermes darted down on impulse.
“Wait! I think I can help you out,” he offered, stopping just before the apparition.
This wasn't any different than helping a stranded shepherd or traveler, right? He answered their prayers all the time. This was just another lost soul, literally. He wasn’t infringing any boundaries by doing this. Probably.

Summary
Hermes could say, at the very least, that in his many, many years of life, he had come to know the warmth of love. Some were not nearly as lucky. Some would never get to know love as if it were an old friend, or how every word and touch was like finding home again. Indeed, he could have never experienced it at all - and wouldn’t that be a far crueler fate than the one he had been dealt?
That was what Hermes tried to convince himself of. Chained helplessly - painfully - to the ground, his knees in agony and his heart in shambles, the only thing he had left was to try and find a bright side. A light in this darkness where he had come to be. But deep down, in the depths of his immortal soul, he knew the truth.
Nothing could be crueler than this.
