The kids—” Here, he pressed his fist harder to his mouth, sucked in a wheezing breath, as if the air itself was pushing down something with physical weight. “The kids—”
“Scattered immediately,” Aizawa finished for him, and Yagi managed a nod.
Yagi’s eyes were so dilated that the blue was almost invisible. He shook violently. He looked like a scarecrow in a windstorm.
Someone activated a Fear-Inducer Quirk so powerful that it reduced All Might to this— of course Aizawa’s class had bolted.

It takes a few minutes for Luz to emerge, and Hunter straightens up instantly. Her hands are shoved in the pockets of Eda’s grudgeby jacket and her head is low and her shoulders are tense and shaking. Something is wrong here, and just a moment later Hunter sees what.
A sharp peal of laughter announces the small group that follows Luz out, led by a girl with orange hair pulled back in a ponytail. She’s holding something out in her hand, and the others in her group lean closer to Luz, sneers twisting their faces even as they continue to laugh.
Rage flares in Hunter’s chest. “Hey!” He barks, pushing off the railing and up the steps. His golden guard voice comes back to him instantly, and for once he welcomes the threatening rumble of it in his throat.

Summary
After the Library Incident, people began to speculate.
Some claimed that Berdly was concealing a case of bullying, much to the concern of his teachers. Others insisted that he had overworked himself preparing for the next Spelling Bee, which was approaching fast. However, it was only when Berdly began to fall asleep in class that rumours really began to fly.
The new Dark World had all the temptations that Berdly’s home life lacked. However, people didn’t know all that. Word around town was that Berdly, the star student, hardworking community volunteer, and son of hometown’s renowned doctor, was hiding a habit.
Note for new readers: This fic was written after Chapter 2. Although the final chapter is being posted after Chapter 3/4's release, it won't reflect any updates to the Deltarune canon past Chapter 2. Enjoy!

And ever since then, Hunter never felt like he was alone. Never in a bad way, though.
For example; whenever he's training to be the best, he feels like there are gentle hands guiding his posture or nudging his position to be able to swing better...even if there's nothing there that he can see. It's not magic, or Hunter would've been able to tell, but it's there.
Most people would find it freaky.
But not Hunter. For some reason, their presence feels safe. Kind of like those guardian angels his uncle described to him whenever his uncle has the time? Or something...
In which Hunter is probably a Spirit Arts User, like that elf girl from one depressing isekai anime Luz remembers watching back in the Human Realm.
However, the so-called spirits that hang around Hunter are mostly a human soul, and hundreds to thousands of dead grimwalkers.

“I think I dropped my scroll on the field!” Skara sets her bag down on the bench, anxiety and defeat weighing on her shoulders. “My dad just bought that for me and now it’s gonna be fried in the rain. He’s gonna ki-” She pauses, glances quickly at Hunter with an apologetic grimace. “He’s gonna be so upset with me.” She amends.
“Oh, that’s fine. I’ll go get it for you.” Hunter scowls at his scroll. Really, these typos are starting to get on his nerves. He’ll demand another typing lesson when he gets back to the house.
He jabs at the power button—the only button he can really trust the consistency of—and marches toward the door.
“Wait, Hunter, what-?”
And he walks right out into the boiling rain.

She startles awake to the sound of Hooty yelling, abruptly sucking her out of the half-asleep state she had been in. She grabs her glyphs on instinct, one of the stacks of paper she leaves around her room for easy access.
When she finds Hooty, he has the door wide open and the body of a teenage boy slumped against the doorframe. A boy who is swathed in red from blood and grasping onto his staff like it’s the only thing keeping him from face planting.
And as Luz walks closer, the light of the moon catches on platinum blonde hair and she suddenly realizes that it’s The Golden Guard in the doorway.
Or, Hunter, his Palisman, and the wild witches who took him in.
