Summary
Her Royal Highness, Princess Ena Shinonome, had plans. Plans that would have been infinitely more entertaining than diplomatic duties to a reclusive kingdom. Alas, she couldn't quite see them through, no small thanks to her "father" deciding that she needed a personal bodyguard. So, one day, without warning, a purple-haired knight had been thrust into her life, yet this girl had managed to draw her in completely. Like a child given a new toy, she wanted to play around with it, discover how it ticked, and make it hers for life.
Maybe she could keep up the act for a little longer.

Under the pouring rain sat two girls that had been waiting for the rain to die down. Neither had brought an umbrella, the sudden shift in weather having caught both off-guard on their walk. As they waited, silently, comfortably, they leaned on one another, the dampness of their clothes ignored and their soft breaths overpowered by the crashing of the never-ending rain. Loud and noisy, but comforting in its own way.
They had seen sights like this many times before, and it brought them both a sense of familiarity and comfort. Yet as they waited, it almost seemed like it didn’t want to end. It was like the heavens above had decided to let this rain last for an eternity, a concept familiar to two girls.
So, under the seemingly endless drops of rain, what else are they to do but reminisce on the time that’s passed their intertwined souls by?
