Summary
Theon had never kept up illusions that he was by any degree a romantic. He never fell too fond of the wenches of Winter Town, nor did he dream of the sorts of blissful marriages Sansa had sung about in their youths. But he realized, too late, that he must have been something of an idealist, at least. For he looked upon the woman soon to be made his wife, and felt a little well of hope he had not known to exist fizzle out and turn to ash in his stomach.
After the Boltons take the North, Tywin arranges for their Greyjoy hostage to be wed to his widowed daughter, to treaty some peace with Balon. Theon is unhappy with the arrangement, but glad to have been whisked away from Ramsay. Cersei is irate. Neither take kindly to the arrangement, though in that disappointment (and in nothing else) they are kindred spirits.

“Shut up!” Jon snapped, pushing Theon out of the way in an angry bulldoze to his car. Theon rolled his eyes and stepped clear of his path.
“Who pissed in your cereal this time, Snow?” Without turning from his car, Jon pointed through the doorway, where Robb now stood with a mug in his hand and an exasperated slump to his shoulders.
Theon makes a fool of himself at one too many Stark social events, and Ned has half a mind to bar him from attending any in the future, friendship with his sons be damned. To keep Theon in his social circle, Robb falsely tells his father that Theon and Jon are a couple, and that it will therefore be his half-brother’s duty to keep Theon in line.
Along the way, Theon realizes he doesn't hate the notion quite as much as he thought he would.

She knew little of being a wife: a Lady of Gondor, even less. But Faramir knew very little, too, of being a husband, and in that manner, they stood equally daunted. But Faramir knew more in great leaps and bounds on being Gondorian than her; he knew more about Gondor in general than most yet living, she presumed. And, with all of his questions and vested interest, she feared he would soon exhaust her of knowledge of Rohan, as well.
Éowyn finds herself mixed with joy and uncertainty on the night of Aragorn's coronation. But she meets a Woman of Gondor and a newly-crowned Elven queen who help settle those fears somewhat. (Or, Éowyn, Lothíriel, and Arwen commiserate on the strangeness of the dawning of their new Age of Men, and their new positions brought with it.

Summary
It has been ten years since Prince Jon Stark of the North disappeared in the middle of the night, leaving behind only a note and bitter memories. His brother, Robb, has just entered a politically-unwise engagement with his longtime boyfriend, Theon Greyjoy, the Starks settling an uneasy truce with a snubbed Walder Frey as they prepare for a large, annual Ball memorializing their lost son.
Jon Snow, the bassist in a locally-popular Mole's Town band, lives a well-established life. He has great friends, a job he loves, and an awesome girlfriend, Ygritte. However, this life gets horribly interrupted when Jon is violently kidnapped, seemingly out of nowhere. Ygritte, now, has to find him- but with an uncooperative police force and increasingly suspicious ties back to her hometown Beyond the Wall, she'll have to uncover a world of political turmoil, mob connections, and royal chaos before she can return her boyfriend to their quickly-growing family.
Meanwhile, Jon finds himself in a mess of hostile environments, strange new allies, and threatening old rivals. The clock is ticking, and the captive must make risky decisions and look back at the life he ran from to make it back home.

No, no, no. He had to know. She had to be safe. Ygritte tried to fight it, but suddenly, all she felt was darkness and the warm touch of his forehead against hers. And she couldn't talk, even though she wished to scream.

Or: Ygritte still dies, but before she does, she gives birth to a child. Jon eventually finds their daughter, and no matter what, he promises he will never let anything bad happen to her.
