Summary
Jinx is gone. Vi saw it; watched as she fell down, down, down, as the explosion boomed and burned and didn’t even leave any bodies behind. She watched as her sister accepted death with open arms. Jinx is gone. Vi knows that. She does.
But when she moves in with Caitlyn, she finds herself setting aside a bedroom just for Jinx, just in case. The one right beside the room she shares with Cait. She decorates it with Jinx’s things - Sevika led her to Jinx’s workshop and let her take whatever she wanted. Every night before Vi and Cait go to bed, Vi - in a move that is so completely dangerous to her own life - unlocks the window in Jinx’s bedroom. Cait watches as she does with a sad smile, but she doesn’t say anything against it. Just in case. She knows that Jinx was never a fan of coming in through the front door.
Two months - sixty-one days - one thousand four-hundred and sixty-four hours - after the explosion, after her sister disappeared, Vi wakes up to a loud clatter in the next room.
or: vi makes a home for jinx to return to, just in case she's still out there. jinx finds her way home.

Summary
Eighteen months after the Upside Down's destruction, Robin Buckley and Nancy Wheeler reunite with Steve and Jonathan on the roof of The Squawk in Hawkins, where a charged moment between them reignites long buried, unspoken feelings that had been simmering under the surface. Set against the backdrop of their beloved Hawkins and the vibrant energy of Boston, this heartfelt coming-of-age and coming-out romance imagines a future for Nancy and Robin that builds upon the chemistry hinted at in their scenes together in Stranger Things and the awakening of Nancy Wheeler to her attraction to women. As Robin and Nancy navigate the complexities of their evolving relationship, both women must confront their pasts and embrace their true selves, proving that love can flourish even amid the shadows of supernatural events and small town expectations.

“Is Robin gay?”
Eddie gives Nancy a long, appraising look and it’s like his brown eyes are boring right through her.
“The question is Wheeler,” he says, “are you?”
“I don’t know,” she admits, and bursts into tears.—
It’s Robin, not Nancy, who needs a leg-up into the Upside Down, which leaves Nancy holding a foot clad in a red Converse sneaker at eye level, reading some graffiti which leaves her with some questions.
When the battle’s over she goes looking for answers.

Robin greets him on the porch with an enthusiastic hug that nearly sends them both toppling down the stairs. He drops his bags, holds her waist, and spins her.
“Asshole,” she grumbles. “Why has it been so long?”
Why did you move halfway across the country without me? he thinks, but doesn’t say.

She had assumed it would be at least a few days before she even plucked the courage to broach the subject. That’s what you were supposed to do with life altering decisions with wide ranging consequences, right? Delay them as long as possible?
Of course, Steve had crashed into her and held on like he had a grudge against the tide.
Or: Robin and Steve don't want to be their parents as they discuss their futures.

Richard Buckley was not a dumb man, and it didn't take a genius to realize that his daughter and Steve Harrington meant the world to each other.
Six times Robin's father observes her friendship with Steve Harrington over the years.
It was something he had noticed with them before, something that usually happened when Steve would make her laugh so hard she forgot herself, or when they’d lean toward each other during a conversation like they were part of a universe that only circled each other.
He wondered if either of them even realized it.

Summary
“I want a postcard from you two, every month,” Dustin told Steve, refusing to let go, “No matter if it’s still the same place. I want you to blanket my room with them Steve. And so help me I will track you down if you’re even a day late.”
“This isn’t so long Dustin,” Steve said, Robin very specifically not listening in, “It’s just see you down the road.”
They had left the next day, a strange whisper of wind at their back. It was like they were being pushed, a confidence that they were pointed in the right direction motivating them.
Or: Dustin builds a wall of postcards as Robin and Steve heal and find themselves again.

Summary
The biggest lesson she had learned at Smith was the same that she had learned in Hawkins: you didn’t need to be afraid of things that were unknown. She didn’t need to accept the status quo. She was allowed to be who she was. She could be afraid and not have it control her.
And she could fail spectacularly at it.
Or: There’s a letter that Robin didn’t send to Steve during her first year at Smith. There’s a phone call she makes during her second.

Summary
When Lou Buckley gets the call from his niece on a sleepy Sunday afternoon, he can’t say he isn’t surprised, but it’s a pleasant one.
“I was wondering - I wanted to ask if - well, my friends and I were wanting someplace to meet up once a month, just like for a weekend, and we were wondering if we would come stay with you? It’s kind of complicated, see, because-” Lou politely waits for Robin to finish her spiel, complete with loop-backs and tangents, fiddles with the twirls of the phone cord whilst he listens to her talk. He doesn’t need to hear it, though, because he said yes in his mind three minutes back.

Summary
“Kiss me.”
Robin balked at that, mouth gaping and a laugh tearing from her chest almost maniacally. But Nancy remained steadfast. She made her sincerity quite clear as she set the bottle to the side and climbed forward so she sat upright, on bent knees and beckoning for Robin to do the same. Robin was never one to disobey Nancy Wheeler, and she dare not start now.
Mirroring Nancy, Robin leaned forward before she lost her nerve entirely. Gentle, soft, and quick, with the faintest smack of lips as she pulled back. Nancy’s eyes dragged open, and the corner of her mouth quirked upwards.
“What are we, twelve?” Nancy goaded her. “I said show me, Buckley.”

“Are you okay?” she asks. “You look flushed.”
Robin chuckles softly—anxiously. “I’m fine.”
Nancy nods, then with a noticeable shift in tone, she asks, “Have you ever had a boyfriend, Robin?”
Fuck.
Robin swallows, picking up on exactly what this is: This is Nancy Wheeler, investigative journalist cracking down on a case. And this is Robin Buckley, suspect number one.

Robin has been hopelessly in love with Nancy, who is finally starting to catch on. Unfortunately, it's also pretty much the end of the world.

Summary
Robin tries not to think about it.
She remembers a time not that long ago when she’d look at another girl the way she thinks Will looked at Mike at that stupid barbecue and her heart aches for him, and for her past self.
Aches and aches and aches.
But it’s fine, because she’s not thinking about it.----------
Something's up with Will. Robin's sure of it. She wants to help. She can see how scared he is, how lonely. She knew that feeling, before she and Nancy fell in love and all that. It doesn't matter that she's too chicken to tell anybody they're together. It's fine. It's great. She's just worried about Will.
