Summary
Mad with grief after losing Gwen, Peter begins to experiment with his own blood, desperate to bring everyone he's lost back to life. The results are far from encouraging and it seems like it's hopeless, until the day he meets Deadpool, the immortal Merc with a mouth, and his best chance at succeeding yet.
The plan is simple: take advantage of the fact that Deadpool seems to nurture some kind of hero-worship for Spider-Man, get close to him and wait until the man takes off any part of the suit so he can stab a needle on it and collect his blood. In and out, no distractions. Easy.

They get in the elevator and come out at the kitchen floor, ready to give their son a light scolding and send him back to bed with a proper, healthy — "Absolutely not. The kid already went through all this trouble, let him eat some junk food and make bad choices for once." — tasty snack.
Yet, both men freeze at the entrance; they expected to find a mess and they did, pans and cooking ingredients scattered on the counter. But they didn't expect the young man to be standing behind it in his pajamas, face down on a bowl of... batter?
"Peter?" says Steve, blinking just as Tony mutters under his breath, What the fuck?
Steve and Tony are awakened to an intruder in the tower but they definitely weren't expecting it to be their teenage son having a mental breakdown over his (unapproved) trouble-making best friend/crush. At least that's what they think it is.

"Are you sure that's a good idea, Petey-ba..." Wade walks into the room just as Peter gets the top of his suit over his head, voice dragging on Peter's pet name when he stops at the threshold between the door and their full-length floor mirror, struck silent by the view, "..by."
Normally, Peter would tease him for it. It's not common for his motormouth of a husband to trip over his own words. This time, though, he supposes he can give him a break. After all, it's been a while since he's seen himself like this, too.
It's been a month since Peter's given birth to their son and he's getting ready to get back to the streets as Spider-Man when Wade catches him in the act and tries to change his mind. It's also the perfect opportunity to think about everything that's been changing in their relationship recently.

"Is Will your boyfriend?" Holly asks, and Mike immediately chokes on the lettuce in his mouth.
"Wh- what?" he gasps, dropping his fork and swallowing back the salad that suddenly feels like cement in his throat. Holly's looking at him with a strange expression, like she's trying to figure something out.
"Will. Is he your boyfriend?" she repeats, even though Mike very obviously heard her, and the question doesn't feel any less shocking the second time.
"No!" He yelps. "No, why would you think that?"
Holly shrugs, taking another bite of spaghetti like this is a normal conversation and she is not slowly killing him. "Nancy calls him your little boyfriend sometimes, and Mom says he's your person, which basically means the same thing, and you live together and act like a couple and unpack groceries together, and- I don't know. Seems like it could be a thing."

But I’m not an idiot, Mike,” Dustin had responded, making Mike promise that he’d be on his best behavior, to which Mike swore there was nothing to worry about, before hanging up and feeling a pit in his stomach he didn’t know what to do with.
It's 1994, and Mike has a wedding to attend.

Oh god, where do I start? I was browsing through the WangXian Summer Exchange Fics list out of curiosity but when I saw this one, when I read the synopsis, I just felt some sort of pull. The tags couldn't really tell me much but I was so curious I ended up reading it all in one go and let me tell you: no regrets. I smiled, I laughed, I cried (a lot) but there isn't a single thing I would change. I loved every minute of it, so much so that I knew the ending wouldn't disappoint me and it didn't! It was worth all the pain, the sad tears because I found myself crying again for an entirely different reason. It was so satisfying and I knew it'd be great but it was so much better than I anticipated!
If you like pregji and dadji, please read this. Lan Wangji's journey resonated with me in a way I will never be able to forget. You won't regret it.
