Summary
Dean reaches out, ignoring the warning hisses, and strokes his fingers down the bridge of Castiel’s nose and between his eyes. It takes a few seconds, but the hissing quiets and Castiel’s eyelids lower, though he’s still glaring.
This is the only way Dean has learned to calm Cas down, and he will swear to Sam until his dying day that he didn’t learn it off of YouTube videos of cockatoos.
(Well, this and a spoon of peanut butter. But he thinks that that is even less dignified.)
Or, the one where Dean isn't the Michael Sword, Cas is an as-of-yet unidentifiable bird monster thing who's more interested in grooming his humans than trying to eat them, Bobby takes up baking as a means to cope with his new housemate, and Sam is long-suffering.

He needn't have worried. The small one was strong.
He sees the human many more times since then. It seems as if the herd doesn't venture out without it. He wonders if that one is the pack-leader. It seems logical, but humans are not always creatures of logic.
He forces back memories of that one, and continues to shadow the herd whenever it ventures out. He makes a habit of waiting in the small grouping of trees near the gate so as not to miss one of their outings. Eventually he learns to distinguish the small one from the others even before it takes to the air, and he feels proud of this accomplishment.
Months later, only hours after the humans had returned behind their walls, everything changes.
(In which Eren is not a human that can turn into a Titan, but a Titan that can turn into a human.)

Regaining consciousness after cryo is always a slow, gradual process. Bucky’s hearing is usually what comes back to him first, the sounds around him well known by now; the hissing of the cooling valves, the gurgling of the tubes, the muted voices of the scientists and doctors on the other side of the glass, the beeping and humming of the medical equipment, and—music?
Once he’s able to open his eyes, minutes later, Bucky is reminded that, even though the situation seems and feels familiar, he’s waking up to something entirely different these days.
He isn’t in some dark, underground HYDRA lab, for one, but a hospital room with giant floor to ceiling windows that offer a spectacular view of Wakanda’s uniquely beautiful flora. To prevent unnecessary trauma-related stress, Bucky remembers T’Challa explaining, and it’s definitely working. No one is wearing masks, either, not Bucky, and not any of the doctors. He can see their faces as they work, and when they glance over at him, they smile and wave. Smells are muted inside the cryo tube, but Bucky can make out faint traces of vanilla and orange, not a hint of disinfectant, or piss, or blood, or something even worse in the air.
And then there’s the kid.

Asahi wants the earth to swallow him whole when he accidentally crashes into tiny Nishinoya Yuu while riding his bike. He remains unsure of his stance on disappearing off the face of the planet after Noya asks him out on a date. But with the (somewhat aggressive) encouragement of his best friends/roommates, Asahi takes one small step forward, and soon finds himself doing a lot less hiding and a lot more living than he ever thought he could.
