Okay. Bobby can do this. He definitely can help Eddie and will help Eddie. He is just… a bit bewildered.
He hums, soft and sympathetic.
“Isn’t it possible that it’s just…”
God, Bobby really doesn’t know how to do this. Huffing, he finds the strength to go on.
“It’s just Buck?”
Eddie pulls a face, seems to think of it, then shakes his head. But the captain doesn’t let him reply. “Maybe it’s Buck sleeping with you that helps you? Not the bedtime tea?” He frames that as a question because he can’t tell the man how he feels.
“I’m not lonely, I don’t need to cuddle someone to sleep,” Eddie scowls defensively and Bobby can’t help the little smile that tugs at his lips.
“Not someone, Eddie. Buck.”
Eddie can’t sleep, buys an Oura ring, thinks that Buck is drugging him with bedtime teas, spirals and gets a boyfriend. In that order. While exasperating Bobby in the process.

“I can’t believe you love me, Buck… like, I’m a disaster, and you are— you—”
Buck cuts him off poking his nose, ducks his head, and whispers in Eddie’s ear for dramatic effect. “I… use a six-month-old baby as a therapist.”
Buck visits Eddie after his “talk” with baby Bobby. He finally gets what he deserves.

He scratches the back of his head, ducks down, and licks his lips, before looking up at Eddie despite not being that taller than him, batting his eyelashes in the process.
“What?” Eddie’s stomach twists on itself at the image.
“I could take you for a ride right now, or… you know, you could ride my–”
Buck buys a motorcycle. Eddie thinks it’s extremely hot. They go on dates without knowing they are going on dates and kiss.

For instance, if one were to ask Eddie how Buck ends up sitting on the toilet lid while he’s having a shower, he wouldn’t know how to answer.
“Buck!” He shrieks when hearing the bathroom door open wide. They have seen each other naked on more than one occasion but this feels different, maybe on account of Eddie’s feelings, maybe because it doesn’t feel that weird, after all.
“Oh, come on,” Buck retorts undeterred, sitting on the closed toilet and clicking his pen with a nervous thumb again and again. “It’s not like I’m in the shower with you!”
Eddie scoffs, even if his cheeks heat up (he’s sure they are beet red) so he can pretend to be annoyed but he knows the truth. “'Cause that would be perfectly normal,” mutters, while he’s lathering his chest.
Buck shuts him up with a flick of his hand, even though Eddie can’t see him. “Eddie, this is serious.”
Eddie teaches Buck Spanish, accidentally calls him cariño and ends up kissing him about it.

Summary
Eventually, he shakes his head. “You should ask Buck, he knows,” tells the woman. “Ask Buck.”
She frowns, looking at the nurse who’s on the other side of the bed. “Buck, as in…” she wonders out loud.
“That man there,” the male nurse tells her, and by pointing at him, he invites Buck to come closer, to get back into the cubicle. “He’s a great boyfriend,” then he comments, teasing but also sweet, genuine, and Buck chokes on his spit, all red and flustered.
Good thing he’s already sweating.
He wants to correct the nurse but Eddie beats him to it. “Oh, gracias, I couldn’t remember,” he exhales, as if a huge weight had been lifted from his shoulders, mouth stretched into a soft, relieved smile.
“Oh,” he stammers, “no, Eddie, I’m really not–”
Eddie fondly shushes him with a flick of his hand. “Come on, Buck, you are,” amusedly he tells Buck.
Eddie is hit on the head and is confused about his relationship with Buck. He only knows that he trusts Buck. Buck is special.

This time, Ilya did drop his beer.
“Fuck.” Ilya moved to clean it up, Cliff’s words bouncing around in his head. “Sorry, the bottle was damp, my fingers slipped, I-”
“Hey, it’s okay, man,” Cliff said, bending down to help him. “The bottle and…the other thing.”
“The other thing.” Ilya gulped.
“Yeah. Look, I’m sorry, man, I didn’t mean to spring it on you like that, but I know, Roz. Shane is your Montreal girl. Your Jane, right?”
or
Ilya tells Cliff that he is not re-signing with Boston, only to find out that Cliff has known about him and Shane basically the entire time.

Shane aches with how much he wants—needs the other man. There is a hollow numbness in his chest every time he thinks about those golden curls and ocean eyes, and he hates himself for wishing he could have more.

Usually, Hayden can accept that Shane's private life is none of his business. When he’s at home waiting on four kids hand and foot, it’s not like he's filling his days making deranged cork boards connecting Shane to every gay man in North America.
But on the road, he has nothing to occupy his time besides the occasional Skype call and cable TV. It gets harder to ignore the fact that Shane’s swapping sweet nothings with a man he still won’t let himself talk about.
