When he can't sleep, he duels with conjured targets in Arthur's garage. Takes Molly out on shopping dates. Tries to figure out what he wants. Tells himself he will redo the Weasley's back garden before Ron's and Hermione's wedding in the summer - the muggle way. He digs soil. Moves stones.
The physical activity keeps him occupied and bone-tired at the end of the day.
He still thinks too much.
He thinks he might be ready for more in life - not that he necessarily knows what more means.

Summary
'Regulus -' James started, his hand reaching out on its own volition towards Regulus', where it sat on the table between them. Regulus suddenly straightened and sucked in a sharp breath as he withdrew his hand, his eyes turning wary. Too late, James remembered that strange charge that had jumped between them when he'd touched the man's wrist earlier, and his own hand fell limply back onto the table. But he still felt like he should say something to Regulus, like he needed to offer comfort for what he'd been through -
'Save the dramatics for someone who cares,' Regulus scoffed, getting to his feet and pulling at the cuffs of his shirt to straighten the sleeves. 'Well, I'd say it's been fun catching up, but an interrogation is only ever fun if you're the one who's asking the questions, after all. Have a nice life, Potter.'
