Someone who truly understands him. The real him, that’s messy and emotional and compulsive. Someone who’s stayed regardless of it all, and has never made Tyler feel like a burden or an issue to solve. Someone who's managed to fill the complicated gap within him that he thought he'd just have to learn to live with.
Tyler isn’t sure if he’ll ever feel less than indebted to him. Like he needs to dedicate a raw, beating part of himself to Josh for the rest of his life, ribs wretched open, bleeding onto Josh’s jeans, just so he understands how much he means to Tyler. How completely Tyler thought he’d never have anything like this.
