This fic is just so lovely. It's just the perfect amount of angst, humor and fluff, it's beautifully written and overall just a great read. The author did a truly wonderful job with this fic's pacing and characterization.
I read the whole thing while I was stuck in the hospital after some heart complications and let me just say this, this fic made me smile through such a scary time and for that, I'm grateful

Usually, when faced with one of Harry's non sequiturs, Kim would intentionally force his face to remain neutral, carefully hiding either confusion or a grin.
This time however, he opened his mouth to speak, then stopped himself before a single word left his lips. His eyebrows creased in a look of intense concentration, while his gaze went right through Harry, then snapped back into focus. Before the lieutenant was able to reign in his expression again, something flickered over his face.

I've been rewatching Avatar so I've been reading some fics alongside it and omg. This fic destroyed me. I just adore it.
Going back in forth between the present and flashback can be very difficult and cause unnecessary whiplash for readers but this author handed this challenge wonderfully. Everything flowed beautifully and I never felt disjointed. This just blew me away!

I ADORE this fic with all of my heart and soul. While I love Link x Zelda, I feel like many people don't give a lot of depth to either character. Both Link and Zelda in many ship fics feel flat and I'm not usually moved by their dynamic.
That being said, THIS FIC GETS WHAT I'VE BEEN MISSING! It's heartfelt, sweet, silly and I just LIVE for the writing style. The constant short but descriptive phrases work perfectly for a Link POV and MAN! ITS SO GOOD!!!

It won’t reopen itself. Not after all that time. But it’s clear that it troubles him; something internal, hot and searing. He winces when Kim wraps his fingers around his forearm to stabilise him, too. “Khm. Sorry, was that-”

As someone who has chronic back pain, is disabled and needs a cane to walk, Jesus Christ I love this fic.
I just really appreciate how much care the author put into their writing and describing the experiences of dealing with chronic pain. The moment the author mentioned the difficulty of walking with a cane on sand, it was clear that they care. It's just been so refreshing.
Anyway, I fucking love this fic, and it's been a joy to read.
