    In his last moments he looked at his cat, he wished he was just as lazy as the feline.

    Strangely, when he opened his eyes again he found himself in a different place than his bathroom. In front of him were a pair of kitten brothers, huddled together and trembling.
    As he reached out to touch one of the kittens, he noticed that it wasn't his hand, but rather a furry black paw.

    Harry’s head lolled forward as the curse lifted for a moment, his chest heaving as he struggled to breathe.

    "Go… to… hell," he rasped, defiance burning in his emerald gaze.

    Her face twisted in rage, and she raised her wand again.

    "CRUCIO! "

    The curse slammed into him again.

    Harry Potter dies. Harry Potter finds himself in the afterlife. Harry Potter finds himself facing Death in the face.

    Death has his face.

    Death tells Harry he wasn't meant to die, and gives Harry three propositions: go back to life, wait in limbo until battle or go back to the 1940s, and complete the impossible, with the help of his mother and father.

    Death tells Harry everyone dies, but not everyone lives.

    And Harry...

    Harry finds himself with a mission.

    Harry will make sure Tom Riddle gets to live his life, for once.
