Ted wasn’t freaking out. Pete wasn’t answering his phone, but he was probably just with his friends, he’s easily distracted. Pete was just at Richie’s, waiting for Ruth’s stage rehearsal to finish and Richie’s house was closer to Hatchetfield High.
Except that wasn’t true either. Because Richie was at St. Damien’s, lying directly in front of Ted, looking fucking awful.
And Pete was certainly not with them.

Not that many people are exploring the wide range of possibilities that come from these characters, and so I came up with backstories for each of them with the help of the prompts from this year, along with other scenarios for after the finale when The Long Quiet and The Shifting Mound leave together, the voices deciding to not interfere.
It's never specified, but I headcannon that the Voices are still inside TLQ's mind, just kept away from the outside world and out of contact with their host.

But it could be worse. Our protagonist could have arrived with the Voice of the Contrarian in his head, instead.
