Summary
It's a fact of life that Tim has money. Between being a Drake and then a Wayne, the normal standard for how much to spend on friends and family has never been, well, normal to Tim. And besides! It's not like Kon 'my dad doesn't like to acknowledge me and therefore won't pay child support' Kent can pay for his stuff. Or Cassie 'my dad is Zues and my mom is struggling as is' Sandsmark can afford a new pair of shoes every few weeks. Or Bart 'I literally don't have a social security number let alone a bank account' Allen can.
It's the right thing to do. That's what he tells himself, at least. That's certainly what he's going to tell anyone who's brave enough to ask.

Inspired by a tumblr post by anxi04 "Tim and Bruce have an odd relationship to the rest of the family. They don't act like father and son, but its seems like they have a "deeper" bond than the others."
And a post by uranium-glass-dice, "Imagine trying to get your teenage son to go to bed when he's been putting your ass down for naps for like, years, by that point."
All relationships are platonic.

Summary
"Alfred?" Tim trudges down the stairs, still dizzy with fever.
It started after he got back from WE. He had felt off the entire day. Then, on patrol, he nearly fell off the roof when his vision began to swim.
Bruce got pissed and told him to go home and put himself to bed. He would be back later that night.
"Bruce?" Tim called out, his voice echoing off the empty halls. "Dick? Damian?"
Tim swallows and limps down the stairs, clinging to the railing to keep himself from tumbling down and snapping his neck.
"Jason?" Tim's throat is dry, and he looks around. There is a headache thundering behind his eyes, and he's beginning to shiver. He can't stand up anymore.
Bruce's heart falls to his stomach when he sees Tim at the bottom of the stairs, practically drowning in a pool of tears and spit.

The bulge shifted again. This time, a small black nose poked out from behind Damian’s cape. Beady eyes blinked up at Bruce, followed by whiskers twitching curiously. Then came the tell-tale little chittering sound.
Bruce pinched the bridge of his nose. “…Is that a raccoon?”
Damian drew himself up, indignant. “His name is Sir Thomas Bandit the Third.”

Summary
The first time it happens, Bruce doesn’t do a great job at hiding his surprise. It was only a couple weeks after Tim’s adoption was officially finalized - hyphenated name and all. Bruce still smiles to himself at the memory of reading ‘Timothy Jackson Drake-Wayne’ on those papers, trying not to choke up at his third son being the first to take the Wayne name. Of course that was never an expectation, but still, it meant something that Tim chose to take it.
With that considered, perhaps Bruce shouldn’t have been quite so shocked by the teen calling him ‘Dad’, but he is. And he’s even more startled to hear it declared loudly as Tim abruptly sprints towards him down the hall at full speed.
“Dad Test!”
Or
Tim starts a trend in the family of jumping at Bruce at random, increasingly difficult times shouting: 'Dad Test!' to see if he'll catch them. This leads to many shenanigans & then crash lands into angst because of course it does.

Summary
Over in the medbay, what was a cot was now melted metal piping with charred fabric sticking to its sides.
“Is this what you want?” Bruce yelled, shaking the cape in his fist. “For me to come down here and find your charred corpses that are so unrecognizable I have to identify you through your dental records?!” he threw the cape to the ground. “I need answers right now. Who did this?”
A beat of silence passed.
“Drake did it!” Damian yelled.
“Damian did it!” Tim yelled back.
“I didn’t do it!” Duke insisted.
(after finding out that someone caused a fire in the Batcave, Bruce starts a long battle of wits to find out who started it. The only problem is, none of the boys are talking. And it seems like they’re getting help from an older brother on the outside)

Kon pulls back to give him a chance to breathe, which he must’ve realized Tim was in desperate need of right now, his lungs on fire and all. Their eyes never fall away from each other’s while Tim tries to level out his breathing. For a second, he swears Kon can only see him, his pupils blown out.
And then, out of absolutely nowhere, a fist comes flying at his boyfriend's face.

Big smile, hands on his hips, eyes lit up behind that black mask.
“I’m Robin!” Tim squeals, but it sounds nothing like him. His voice matches his size and demeanor, high pitched and soft and…happy. He lets out a giggle, flexing his arms in the mirror, giving a kick and a belated hi–yah.
“That’s not a Robin uniform,” Bruce points out belatedly. It’s not the part Jason was noticing, but he’s right. It’s thin cloth, and too loose. The right colors and shapes, Jason supposes, but still, there's something off about it.
“Well, that and he hasn’t met us, yet,” Dick points out. “He’s not old enough.”
“But this is supposed to be his first day as Robin," Damian argues. Jason agrees—something is very, very wrong.

“No,” Bruce cuts him off. He feels too dizzy, dazed, cracked open and stirred to talk to him.
A pause. “No?”
Clark sounds confused, and Bruce will get it through his head now. “No.”
Bruce Wayne is sick, and Clark Kent will unquestionably be by his side, even if his Bat is a grump.

A sliver of light cut through the shadows, the darkness parting as Bruce looked up. His hands froze, steady just this once, as a small boy stood in the doorway, only fourteen years old but still looking twelve. Big, blue eyes pierced his, a frown painting his face.
There was silence, as Bruce stared at Tim and Tim stared at Bruce. Silence that didn't feel like silence, the beating of his heart and the thrum of his blood too loud in his ears.

Tim stares down at the mask in his lightly trembling hands. It's smooth, a deep and rich green color that brings to mind the idea of life. Of green leaves and vibrant grass and living things.
Tim thinks--frequently but privately, never aloud--that he is a dead man walking. He has been since the first time he put on this suit, tears in his eyes as he sullied what should have stayed a pure symbol of hope, light, and freedom. So this green color? It doesn't suit him at all. It's far too beautiful and lively for that.
Tim Drake spends most of the second half of his life trying to kill himself.
Maybe someday he'll succeed.

Tim's day goes from bad to worse when Ivy accidentally (or not?) drenches him in a mysterious "testing" pollen. Cue a coffee catastrophe, a hazardous waste bin adventure, and a tearful breakdown in front of his entire family. Is it just allergies? Or something way weirder?
Tim scowls at the ground. “Headache, stomach pain. Heightened… emotions. Apparently.”
There’s silence in the kitchen for about ten seconds. Then, Jason snorts again. He’s terrible in tense situations.
“PMS pollen?”
This time, Dick smacks the back of his head. “Shut up.”
“What is that?” Damian asks. “What is PMS? Baba?”

It’s the first time anyone in the family has seen Drake in months, as far as Damian knows. He’s not sure what he was expecting when Drake showed his face again, but it wasn’t this: toothbrush hanging out of his mouth, wearing a too-large hoodie, rooting through the fridge at two in the morning in the Kents’ farmhouse. He looks like a mess. He looks more relaxed than Damian’s ever seen him.
(Tim drops off the face of the earth, leaving a Drake-sized hole in the family. Damian’s the last person anyone would have expected to fix it.)
