Carlton turns around, stops short. Blinks once.
“Oh,” he says, then laughs under his breath. “You’re… not Will.”
Mike freezes.

Post-canon, Mike Wheeler crashes at his best friend’s New York apartment for a book deal. But he wasn't ready to see this version of Will Byers: confident, successful, in love, surrounded by community and so, so free.
While Will lives the life he has always deserved, Mike grieves El and comes to the quiet, devastating realization that he might be in love a few years too late.
Despite everything, they still seem to find their way back to each other.

Summary
The section "On this day" of Jimmy's website takes a lot more work than Jimmy likes to admit.
It also stirs up the memories, and not just his own. (Sometimes, that's the whole point.)

It would appear that on this day, in 1994, I sat down with Robert Plant for the first time in god knows how long, to start work on what would later become our first reunion album No Quarter."(This is Jimmy's introduction to this thing. He's a bit nervous. We've had about 6 different versions of this first Jimmy chapter, haven't we, luv? None was good enough for you. He has also been a total nag with the edits. He wants to give a good first impression. We'll see how this goes.)
