Yaku scoffed. “Just move in if it's such a big deal.”
Lev opened his mouth to retort only to close it a second later. It was as if his thoughts had finally caught up to the reality of what Yaku had just said, overriding his instincts to be annoyingly whiny in a manner of moments.
Then there was silence, loud and encroaching, and Yaku felt something hot and uncomfortable burn within him. An ache perhaps. His own, personalized, chronic heart pain.
And then there was Lev who was staring at Yaku like he was a trick of the light, both real and not real, visible only if you tilted your head the right way.

Maybe one of the best things ive ever read. I want to reread it right away but genuinely I will have to have someone hold me or just be around someone else because some chapters made me so incredibly sad I was (no lie) screaming. I will reread after I recover.
