Wade doesn’t “<3” NY. In fact, he hates New York. It smells like shit, the sewer rats are the ones who really run things, and Jay Z was only partially right; it’s a concrete jungle where dreams are made of, except there’s nothing you can do.
So after Weasel, Domino, and pretty much the entirety of Sister Margaret’s decided to relocate to an old bankrupt Blockbuster Video on Manhattan’s east side, Wade almost didn’t go with them. Except he absolutely did, because he likes paychecks. It’s totally not because he’s pathetically lonely and would miss his friends. His negative opinion of New York is proven to be 42069% accurate when, within a month of moving, he’s kidnapped by a new off-brand Weapon X group that immediately puts a microchip in his skull to control him.
There is one good thing about New York, though, and he's snarky, wears unfairly tight red and blue spandex, and lives rent-free in Wade's head. Unfortunately, 'Temu' Weapon X wants their brand-new microchipped immortal murder slave to find Spider-Man's identity and all of his weaknesses.

The Forgotten Ones weren't always... well, forgotten. The stories were likely partially true, the tales of cruelty and hiding in the darkness. They were everything they shouldn't have been - those who caused terror, pain, despair. The woman the world would eventually know as Inquisitor Lavellan was, in fact, a Forgotten One. Somehow Isathe was not imprisoned by the Dread Wolf in the abyss with the rest of them. Whatever the reason, the former spirit of Curiosity coaxed into physical form was stuck in the aftermath of that event. She felt the moment the Veil was created and pulled her even farther from her home. Then she slept. Slept for thousands of years until she woke in a world where elves were no longer what they had been. She had to find a way to stay alive and adjust to the world that formed from the Betrayal so long ago.
Isathe was an ancient elf, a member of the Forgotten Ones and awakened years before the Breach before being pulled into the Inquisition. Majima took his elbows off the table and slammed it with his palm, making the beer cans and the ashtray jump, laughing maniacally.
“There's no way I'm comin' all the way out to this backwoods town without even tryin' to find my favorite dragon!”
“Speaking of that,” Kiryu said weakly, “How exactly did you find me?”
Majima's grin broadened. “Nah-ah, Kiryu-chan,” he wiggled his finger. “A guy can't go 'round revealin' his sources. Let's just say a little bird told me 'bout an apartment that the Dojima family had in Sapporo. Decided to check it out. Secured a spot in that cafe on the corner and waited for ya to show up. Honin' my detective skills.”
“So when you saw me coming,” Kiryu said slowly, trying to comprehend. “You climbed up on that roof like a cat and jumped me?”
Majima hee-hee-heed in response. “Ya gotta have that element of surprise in your life, Kiryu-chan. Otherwise, it's just plain borin’!”
Kiryu looked at him incredulously. Rumor had it that Majima was batshit crazy. He was starting to believe it.

Summary
Picks up the story between Yakuza 0 and Yakuza 1, Kiryu is 21 and Majima is 25. Two idiots trying to figure out what the hell is going on between them, besides all the punching. Nishida needs a goddamn vacation.
Chronological retcon of the Park Mirei story, so that a) it makes any sense at all in the context of Majima's life and character and b) it is no longer creepy and gross, since they are the same age (which they should have been and I had assumed they were) instead of a grown-ass man marrying a seventeen year old girl. (WTF Ryu Ga Gotoku??) Anyway I fixed it, you're welcome.
