From there, the three of you become comfortable friends, though you can never quite shake feeling out of place. The feeling only worsens they inform you they are together. It doesn’t come as a shock, you're quite close, and you’ve always known the two of them have something between them you are unaware of. It’s never bothered you very much.
What you aren’t expecting is the ache that grows in your chest whenever you are with them now.
Both Zhongli and Childe can't deny they've grown fond of you as well, and they don't intend to leave you out of their relationship for very long.

In a reality where Venti and Zhongli died during the Archon War, and Khaenri'ah destroyed the Gods before they had a chance to strike it down during the cataclysm, many things are different. There are no Visions. There is slavery.
When Aether and Lumine are separated at a slave market, Aether doesn’t know for which of them he fears the most. They had already struggled to survive as orphans, but nothing could compare to the cruelty of slavery. He is bought by Lord Childe, and brought as a pet for a meeting with his associates – Zhongli, Kaeya and Diluc – who were together with their respective slaves – Xiao, Albedo and Venti.
But what looked like the start of a nightmare soon is revealed as a pool of opportunities, and Chide and his friends are not like what was told about slave owners. His life wasn’t perfect. Every one of them had to do some questionable choices to survive. But could he love that group of people and let them replace the family member that he lost? Would he ever see Lumine again?
