"Shut up, Nino," groaned Adrien, lovely voice sailing right through the thunderous heartbeat in Marinette's ears — a heartbeat that came to a screeching halt at his next words:
"Hey, Marinette."
Marinette whipped around, nameless organs lodging themselves in her mouth and mangling her attempted greeting of, 'hey, Adrien,' into something closer to "Hmnyeep! Ari— Adri— hi!!"
Adrien was, she saw now, tragically wearing a shirt.
Adrien was also, however, wearing swim trunks. And short sleeves. And sunglasses, ones that were perched on top of his head in a way that was impossibly cool.

Creatures of the night have gained legal citizenship in various human countries, with South Korea being no exception. Only a handful of creatures remain outlawed, deemed too dangerous and unwavering in their biological urges. Most notorious among them are energy demons; succubi and incubi.
Rumi is a siren without a muse and too many skeletons in the closet. Jinu is an incubus in hiding, drawn to Rumi’s dark secrets and even darker desires. A chance meeting sparks a dangerous entanglement; Rumi for the revival of her sirensong, and Jinu for the thrill of a siren’s intoxicating energy.
What begins as a calculated deception quickly spirals into an arrangement neither of them anticipated. Because when all monsters look the same in the dark, you don’t realize who’s hunting whom…until it’s too late.

Someone had set a fire in protest outside the United Nations. Smoke rose, obscuring the flags. “NOAA said this morning that all of the Eastern Seaboard needs to be evacuated. American refugees are flooding into Canada. Too many tensions, huh? Going to cause a war if we don’t do something. So what are we waiting for?”
“A vote.” Bucky’s voice was sour and quiet as he shoved off from the wall and walked over. “We’re a team. We act like one. So we’ll vote on it.”

Made a mean Lasagna alla Bolognese. Played guitar (kind of). Knew how to jumpstart a car (pretty well, actually). He liked chess.
He’d spent most of his life high, bridging sober gaps with odd jobs and side hustles and jail. He’d stolen from everyone who cared enough to let him into their home.
Robert Reynolds wasn’t Sentry, he wasn’t the Void—but he had been.

Yelena swallowed. The doors were still open. “Oh, I don’t know. Uh, like the, uh, crazy things my dad says. Like, maybe if you wanted to talk about that, I thought, you know, you could come in and we could talk about that.”
Bob didn’t move for a moment. His dark eyes were fixed on the floor, on the crack between the elevator and the floor to her room. On the void between, tiny and endless, a crack of pitch blackness in the building that eyes never saw and a finger couldn’t fit into, but a void all the same. “Do you… want to talk about that?” he asked, his voice quiet and low and cautious.
