Summary
"Hey, Kris?" Susie asks.
Their snap out of their thoughts. Their head draws over to one side, curious, like a lost little puppy. Susie's smile grows.
"Your pancakes are getting cold, dude," She says, excitement bubbling in each and every word. "If you're not careful, I'll steal them."
Kris & Susie eat pancakes together!!

Summary
Ralsei perks up beneath the scrutiny of her gaze, a little flushed as he raises a hand towards the back of his head. His chocolate covered apron stretches to accommodate such a movement, and a low chuckle slips from his throat.
"U-Um.. Well," he begins to explain, settling into a brief pause for a moment or two. "People tend to give chocolate to those they want to express affection towards. Loved ones, as it were."
Susie's eyes narrow, processing the words slowly, until her brain sparks to life with acknowledgement and all she musters up a scoff. "Well, yeah, dude. Kris is my friend — I love my friends!"
Ralsei's eyes widen and his smile grows a little empty. She almost begins to wonder if maybe she'd just lost the point of it in entirety.
".. What, you think I don't love you guys?" She continues to spout, pushing herself deeper and deeper into her own stupidity.
"N-No! It's.. Not that, just—" Ralsei stammers. "It's usually for, uhm.. Romantic.. partners.."
Susie pauses.
"Oh."
susie makes kris chocolates for valentines day. it does not go as expected.

Summary
“You should go with me,” they spur aloud. It’s both entirely a mistake, whilst also being something they’d been wanting to say for hours already.
As soon as it’s exited their mind, flying out of their mouth, they feel the regret settle into their stomach. It’s heavy, much like a rock, and it’s weighing just about everything in their body down.
They gulp – and they gulp hard – then they close their eyes as they brace for what’s about to come. The dismissal, the humiliation and the inevitable frustration.
Though, none of those things ever come.
Because Susie merely furrows her eyebrows and twists her head to the side, muttering out, “Huh?”
“Like, uhm..” They mutter, scrambling through the pathways and inner-channels of their mind. It’s where they’re met with what they would later on consider to be the very worst excuse they could have possibly come up with. “Fakely.”
In which Kris and Susie fake date, for the sole purpose being that Kris got scared when asking her out.

Summary
“.. What’s this?” Susie calls, finally catching up to them. Her breathing is somewhat laboured, exhausted after being forced to chase after them for what had felt like years.
“It’s a tree,” they respond nonchalantly. As though it’s a given.
She rolls her eyes in that consistent, melodramatic manner that she always does, then answers Kris’ explanation with a scoff. It rolls through her mouth and off of the tip of her tongue far too casually for something so bitingly rough. “I know that, dude.”
Kris & Susie carve their names on a tree in the forest!!

Summary
Susise’s not used to having someone who looks at her the way Kris does. When Kris stares at her she feels like she’s a subject waiting for a vivisection, like she’s waiting for Kris to open her raw and plunge their arms deep into her chest. To search her inside and out: that’s what loving looks like for them.

Susie reminisces on what it was, and what it could’ve been.

Summary
Can they ask her something?
“Shoot.” She dug around in her pockets for that cheap plastic lighter she ‘borrowed.’
Has she dealt with— Kris paused. Has she ever dealt with like, weird thoughts?
Or: Kris has been having "weird" thoughts, so they ask the only monster they trust.

Summary
"Oh, you're in for it now," she says. Her voice is low and rumbly as she starts to roll up a massive, downright gangantuan, even, snowball, that would certainly be absolutely ruinous if it were to hit—half their height, even.
With her lumbering strength, she picks it up, and chucks it right at them.
Kris... steps to the side.
It's the first day of December, and Kris needs to get out of their head a little. Susie helps.
