Summary
It’s the roaring 20s, but in the small upstate New York hamlet of Middle Grove it sounds more like a snore. Peter Parker grew up in the Methodist church there, raised to follow his uncle and grandfather into the ministry. Preaching the word to a restless flock and trying to write for the local newspaper, Peter has little time left to himself and his own ambitions.
Then a traveling snake-oil salesman rolls into town. This smooth-talking man with the scars covering his body seems to actually be helping people, somehow. Is it the sweet soda water he's hocking as medicine? Or is something deeper going on, something that defies both the religion Peter grew up in and the science he's adopted? Mr. Wilson’s sideways glances and joking innuendos are infuriating. And captivating. Peter needs to learn his secrets, but the journey to knowledge will take him down a dark path.

Summary
Husk had often wondered if the powers of fate also had a hold on hell. He remembered from his time on earth that humans thought its strings to be snapped as soon as their souls left their plane of existence. But if their souls continued living on in either heaven or hell, wouldn’t it make sense that the forces of destiny would continue applying their strength on them beyond the grave as well?
From what Husk had seen as an overlord, he believed this to be the case.Or: Instead of losing his soul to Alastor, Husk, the overlord of gambling, wins that of Angel Dust.
