“Didn’t say that,” Peem rushes to say, but it lacks the conviction of denial. “You’re not even in my lap.”
Phum starts to wiggle pointedly, just enough to have Peem almost lose his breath for a moment. “Feels like your lap.”

Unfortunately, there are a couple problems with Nick's budding crush. First, it's in the middle of the pandemic, and casually visiting strangers is not exactly a responsible thing to do. Second, Nick is famous. Really famous. Like, A-list actor famous. And between the chaos at the dog park and the whole wearing-a-mask thing, it's possible that Charlie didn't pick up on that minor detail. Shenanigans ensue.
The original story includes chapters 1-8, completed January 4, 2023. Chapter 9 is a bonus scene.
