“Annual Fitness Day,” Peter says. When Neal frowns, he elaborates. “It’s a small obstacle course. It’s presented as a fun team building exercise, but it’s also an evaluation.”
Neal flips through the papers. “Interesting,” he says. Then, he hands the packet back to Peter. “No.”
Peter refuses to take it. He puts his hands in his pockets and laughs. “Oh, no. This is mandatory. Luckily, I already signed us up.”

there’s a brief, silent pause in which rumi and jinu stare at each other with what feels like the weight of the world on their shoulders. jinu eventually breaks first.
“oh my god,” he breathes out the breath he didn’t even realise he was holding harshly before smothering his face into his hands.
“what?” rumi snaps defensively, her brows tightening into a tiny, self-conscious frown.
“nothing,” he sighs, dragging his hands down his face. “i just can’t believe that your problem is two of the hottest women on campus wanting to cuddle with you after sex.”

The client hadn’t really requested anything at all; their emails had been almost overly polite, if not jarringly formal, and had selected only the most vanilla options on the questionnaire she provided. Certainly a far cry from the standard practices of her usual clientele, but this one had paid upfront and picked this expensive hotel, and Mira’s fees are dear enough on their own that she had been coloured intrigued.
Mira takes a left down the hallway after leaving the elevator and finds herself at the door to the room. She doesn’t steel herself—doesn’t need to. She can handle anything. Has handled most things. Mira swipes the keycard and lets herself in.
The person sitting on the bed is probably the last thing she expects.
In which Mira is a professional, Rumi is socially inept, and Zoey is also there. Let's hope nobody catches feelings.

Summary
Zoey had always enjoyed putting things together.
From building Lego sets with her older brother in his room. To replacing car parts with her father on a Tuesday morning in July. To lazy evenings sat at the coffee table piecing together a jigsaw puzzle with her mom. There was a certain satisfaction Zoey found in going from a thousand splintered pieces to a finished product.
Huntrix is a fractured mess in the wake of Gwi-ma’s defeat. The tenuous relationship they’d started in the back third of the world tour was straining at the edges and threatening to buckle under the weight of their individual betrayals.
On the surface everything seemed fine - they were professionals after all. From the outside not a single hair or emotion was out of place. No faults to exploit, no fears to be shown.
