Summary
Even after giving up his rosette, Heinrix finds it hard to shake the habits he formed over the decades while serving as the Inquisition's agent. It reaches a boiling point when many errors of the crew accumulate to a point the Master of Whispers cannot ignore any longer. He decides to take action, only to be reminded by the one he devoted himself to, Diana, that demands of the dynasty are not the same as of the entire Imperium.
“Forgive me, Diana.” He whispers, rough fingers ghosting gently over the exposed patch of skin, not quite touching but not pulling back either. “Forgive me.” Heinrix repeats and Diana inhales, trying to find her words but none come.
After just a moment, his fingertips do make contact and Diana pauses, briefly biting her bottom lip at the electricity that runs through her at the touch, but she just looks down on him, letting him proceed, letting him beg for her forgiveness.
