Eddie never was a planner, but his new life necessitates having some idea of where he’s going, and when he’ll get there. He’d like to think that makes him more mature, but he’s still flying by the seat of his pants when it comes to the big picture. Getting his CDL was a way to escape Hawkins. To see the country, even if he’s mostly seeing long, lonely stretches of interstate in between depots.
There are bright spots. Hazy desert sunrises that make him want to write a sad song, and the occasional free evening to take in a show, meet some locals. Follow a pretty girl to her apartment if she’ll have him.
Most of the time, though, life comprises shitty diner burgers and far too little sleep. It's a lonely existence, but it suits him fine, until the night a strawberry-blonde ponytail at a gas station in Kentucky stops him in his tracks.

Summary
Chrissy Cunningham knows lying is a sin. She was raised Christian, after all. But lying's what got her a hot boyfriend, a star position on the cheer squad, and some (maybe sort of) friends to boot. It's not until Eddie Munson nearly runs her over with his truck that her lies begin to catch up with her.
Eddie's a far cry from Jason Carver, and Chrissy knows he's not the type she can take home to her parents. That said, he is the type to make her feel freer than she ever has, the type to allow space for her to be truly, authentically Chrissy. It's crazy and beautiful and often times terrifying, but Chrissy finds peace in his madness all the same.
Lying's a sin. Chrissy Cunningham knows it.
But maybe Eddie Munson is worth sinning for.

After expending himself and being alight for a few hours at a time, it was normal for Johnny to feel like his every step was countered by a molasses effect where even breathing felt manual and laborious, every thought was regularly clouded in a thick fog that made connecting the dots feel impossible on even simple things, and he could physically feel the bags under his eyes grow heavy as his eyelids drooped with their own agenda. To summarize it as “Johnny’s tired” doesn’t come close, but Johnny doesn’t have the energy to argue otherwise.
Running out of energy to be the Human Torch can be a lot more dangerous than Johnny wants to admit.

Steve was never close with Will, not least because he’s always butted heads with Jonathan, but shit. This takes guts. Guts he didn't know Will had. Guts he’s not sure he would have, if it came down to it.
So when Will says it, just like that, I don't like girls, in front of his family and his friends and his— his party, is what Henderson would have called it, Steve puts a hand on Robin's shoulder.
