Summary
Keith puffed out a startled laugh, ears beginning to burn slightly.
“Oh yeah? That turn you on, Sharpshooter?” he drawled, letting his gaze flit over the limited view of his figure on the screen.
Lance was momentarily stunned into silence, mouth opening and closing soundlessly before he crossed his arms and diverted his gaze away from the camera. During his time in the Quantum Abyss, Keith had studied and learned all his expressions until they burned themselves into his memory. He watched their sharp edges from not-so-distant memories soften into delicate creases, crow’s feet and smile lines emphasising the joy he wore on his face as time wrinkled his skin.
“You’re evil.”
“What, you can dish it out but not take it?” Keith teased, relishing in every glimpse of feeling Lance portrayed.
Affronted, Lance levelled a glare at him, nose scrunched in that way it did when he was embarrassed.
“Hey! I can take it just as well as you!” he huffed. Keith lifted a single eyebrow. “That came out wrong.”
Or: Keith and Lance flirt too much, stand too close together and confuse their relationship status in front of friends and family. It takes them way too long to do something about it.

Summary
Keith blinked in confusion and looked at Lance’s face before questioning, “Why did everyone pick at me then...?” He still felt hurt and how it swirled in his chest, the jokes stuck with him more than he liked to admit.
With fast another shake of the head, Lance urgently said, “We were just teasing! We don’t think that—we know everyone has bad laundry days and I dragged you out when you aren’t ready! I promise we don’t really think about that of you—you're so pretty!” He cupped a cheek and looked at him directly in the eyes.

Lance let out a half-laugh, half-squawk of surprise as Keith sat down exactly where Lance had been, then repositioned Lance firmly into his lap like a piece of treasured cargo. One arm wrapped securely around Lance’s middle, the other pulling a blanket over them both.
Lance sat there stunned, blinking. “Did you just… pick me up… like a cat?”
“You weren’t where you were supposed to be,” Keith muttered, completely unapologetic. “Now you are.”
“I’m going to scream,” Pidge whispered from the floor, popcorn halfway to her mouth.
