Summary
Horror billowed in Fishbones’ smoke as it tore through the air. Silently it whirled through the red sky of sunset, ripping loose clouds to shreds as it racketeered mercilessly forward.
It brought helpless tears to Vi’s eyes: they could do nothing but watch. Eyes locked on the rocket, she was powerless to anything but gawk as her sister’s weapon pierced the glass of Piltover’s Council House.
A flash of crimson - and she felt the world go still.

“Mike?” He’s quickly snapped out of his incriminating thoughts as Will gives him a questioning look. “Did you want to try?”
Will blinks at him innocently, completely oblivious to Mike’s inner turmoil.
“Um,” Mike spares a glance at the cigarette sitting between Will’s middle and index fingers, tip glowing softly while smoke flows off of it in wisps; that isn’t what seems so appealing to him right now. “No thanks, I think I’m good.”
“Oh, alright,” Will shrugs, taking another drag before facing Mike again with a smirk. “You were staring, so I thought that maybe—you know.”

Summary
“Oh, come on,” Will says, struggling to keep his voice neutral in a different way. His mouth is dry, and he hates Mike for it even more. “Is this what it’s going to be like this summer?”
Mike looks back at him, considering, lips pursed in an effort to shut down the smirk that Will knows is fighting to break free. Will doesn’t dare to let his gaze catch there, focusing instead on holding Mike’s stare, because this, too, is a game.
