It was safe to say, Fit probably had PTSD. Hell ‘Traumatic Stress’ seemed like a pretty spot on way to refer to the experience of 2b2t as a whole.
He hated it though. He hated that the wasteland had taken so much from him physically, and now it just had to sink its teeth into his mind too. The prosthesis and hearing aids weren’t enough, the scars and burn marks littering his skin weren’t deep enough for the decrepit land and its even harsher inhabitants, they had to stretch into the depths of his mind and dig in too, tangle in with his neurons and code and leave him raw like an exposed nerve.
Because how do you come out of the wasteland without being a little fucked up?
