"How do you do it?" she said into his chest, her voice muffled in his rumpled robes. "How do you go on without your Master?"
Obi-Wan's breath hitched again. He didn't respond to her for several minutes, only holding her. They should probably get off the tarmac, but she would die from grief if she pulled away from him right now.
"You wait it out until you can finally bear it," he eventually replied. It wasn't the answer she wanted, but there probably wasn't any other. She tried to picture Obi-Wan waiting around and doing nothing. She tried to picture herself doing the same thing.
Ahsoka sobbed again.
Emotions did not hold sway over the ability of Jedi.

Summary
Over twenty years after Chancellor Palpatine's failed takeover of the Galactic Republic, Jedi Knight Luke Skywalker-Naberrie is asked to join a diplomatic mission to Mandalore to help negotiate a trade agreement with the new Mand'alor. While he is assumed to join as an observer and mediator in these talks, his real mission is to investigate rumors that the Mand'alor's child is powerful in the Force and offer a future for the child within the Jedi Order. The already difficult task compounds when he keeps failing to gain an audience with the mysterious Mand'alor, but distraction comes in the form of a strange, faceless Mandalorian palace guard he keeps encountering at night, someone he keeps gravitating towards despite himself.

And that’s how Din finds himself clicking through garden stores on Google Maps about twenty minutes later, because he can’t exactly go home and look his three-year-old in the eye if he abandons the damn plant. The nearest Home Depot is about ten klicks away, but there’s a little flower shop just down the street from Outer Rim Security. The name Desert Blooms gleams up at him from the screen of his desktop, and it gives Din an oddly good feeling.
Or, Cara rescues plants from unsuspecting coworkers. Din nurses them back to health. Luke owns a flower shop.
