Summary
That was probably one of the stupidest mom’s decisions, Beth thinks, checking her makeup in the rearwave mirror of her Mercedes-Benz. Of course, she could have told mom “no” to that date night she organized for her. And she told mom “no” a few times before agreeing because mom didn’t stop nagging her until she told her “yes”.
Date night with a man of her mother 's choosing.

She looked pale, and strangled the towel in her hands. “Why are you sleeping on my couch?”
Rio enjoyed the element of surprise. He liked seeing her jolted from her composure so he could actually have her attention on what he was trying to explain. She wasn’t good with humility, and he understood that made her a little resistant to his knowledge. But he didn’t want her thinking her house was filled with murderers who never managed the stairs or a ghost that creased her pillows.
“Because your bed is cozy, but I don’t think you’re ready to invite me in there every night. The couch is decent if your eyes are closed.”
Spoilers for the series generally up to season 3, and set somewhere in there, but no specific episode.
