Summary

He brought humiliation to the Haddock bloodline. And worst of all, his beloved dragon friend's life was in danger, and Hiccup had no clue where Toothless could be. Though, on one fateful night, his life changed.

Summary
From the time Hiccup was four, Stoick knew that this day would come. At the time, Hiccup was angry and his eyes turned to slits and his ears became pointed like an elf's. Other people on Berk with magic power could move things with their minds or shoot compressed air from their mouths. Stoick's own nephew could bend the earth to his will, and Stoick himself could shout and cause a mountain to collapse. People with magic powers on Berk were thought of as the greatest warrior in their war against the dragons.
But his son just had to be able to turn into dragons, and when you're power gave you the ability to turn into your tribe's mortal enemies, you may not be seen as someone of good standing. Little Hiccup had to learn this the hard way.

Summary
Hiccup Haddock was injured in a forge fire when he was 12 years old. At 15, he runs away from all he knows and his cousins - Snotlout and Gustav. At 19, he sees his cousin again for the first time since he left - being imprisoned in the large cage across from his tiny one. Drago wants information from his coded journal, Toothless is withering away without food or water, and Hiccup is in like straits. Good thing Astrid is confident they were going to get out of there.

Astrid drops the mirror, and doesn’t even hear as it shatters on the ground at her feet.

Taking in a clutch of Nadder Natchings, the Riders expected dealing with an onslaught of stray spines, fire, and squwaks that kept them up through the night.
What they didn't expect, was for one little hatchling to remind them so strongly of their leader.
It all unravelled from there.

Zhao escapes, taking Sokka and a few other Water Tribe men as prisoners. Knowing Sokka is traveling with the Avatar he gets sent to Zhao’s “special prison camp” that is hidden near the Earth Kingdom colonies.
Sokka gets a taste of the real war, not the war that he thinks he knows from traveling with the Avatar. While Zhao’s prisoner, he struggles to survive the inhuman conditions. Alone and thought to be dead, he feels himself slowly losing hope.

The King has been the scourge of the Great Beyond for years, cutting a path through everything that stands in his way. Some even say he is a god himself.”
