And then he raises his dagger, pricks his own wrist until scarlet pools over his pale skin, and lets blood drip into the goblet.
Before he can help it, Astarion stiffens.
Astarion has spent two hundred years with truth as a bitter enemy. Fitting, then, that his choice to say it is taken from him.

AKA: A collection of things that ostensibly happen in the same little mental universe. Loosely based on the events of an Origin Astarion run and the various questions it inspired. Not published in sequential order, but ordered somewhat by the narrative timeline.

Another case of going back to bookmark the whole series. I started with "Strange Smile" - Astarion's panic, his companions' reactions to his distress, the tension back at camp - they all just feel so palpable. Most of these are painful, dark reads but so well-written.
