Summary
At some point between grinding for materials all day with Pangi, the exhaustion and beating, pervasive, heat of the nether had grown too much for another trip back and they’d given up the hunt.
Then, between exiting the portal and chatting on the way through Foolish’s castle, Pangi had wearily sighed; “Let’s go get wasted, man.” in a way that sounded more like a plea than a suggestion.
Of course, Pili slung his arm over his shoulders and agreed.

He is supposed to be moving right now. Nakamori–keibu will see him, catch him, throw his wrists into cuffs– they’ll know what he did. How could he even have managed to hide this for so long? Why would he break into his home–
He went through his stuff too. That has to be even more illegal, right? Invasion of privacy or something? But technically he had a right to see these pictures. They should have been in his possession, no? But that’s not his biggest problem right now, is it?
“Selfish,” he calls himself, venom lacing the word despite the low volume. For breaking in, for going through the pictures and not stopping, for not moving.
So what if he wants to be noticed? For once, not only because of his magic tricks, but for his sake?
It’s too late now, anyway.
