The new transfer student, Kakyoin, brought drama to a school starving for it. His arrival put new targets on his back and girls fawning over his red hair, but beyond all that he made Jotaro feel strange. After all, photographic memory and an overwhelming acuteness for precision weren't things that popped up naturally out of nowhere. Kakyoin's ghost probably had something to do with it and nothing to do with Jotaro understanding how the girls felt.

Kakyoin was 30 years old today, and his cherry had nothing to show for it.
Sure, he was an accomplished professional who made a decent living for himself. He was kind and respected by his colleagues. He could comfortably live alone in his own apartment without any worry about his finances.
And he wasn’t half-bad looking if he did say so himself.
But some small slimy part of Kakyoin never let him forget that despite all his accomplishments, he was still just a virgin who never really learned how to truly connect with other people. Each year that passed him by without getting fucked was just another reminder of how hopeless he was.

Alternatively, Kakyoin gains the ability to read minds after remaining a virgin at the age of 30. He realizes that he's in over his head when he uses his new power to read the mind of the CEO's handsome grandson.

Even with his Stand and his mother trying to help him along, Jotaro knows he has to face the terrible ordeal of feelings alone and what they might mean to his relationship with his best friend.
[Jotaro knew he was in trouble when his mother didn't have to pull him down by his collar to give him her kiss goodbye on his cheek. He had obliged. Unthinkingly, he’d given her exactly what she wanted. Worse, the world had brightened and it was a honeyed sort of glow instead of the harsh wattage of a sun too close. Annoying things hadn’t seemed so bothersome. Good things seemed to last long after they were over. Jotaro hadn't noticed the sum of it all until that moment, but now he could see all the signs. They converged into a singular change in Jotaro’s life.]
