Logic is sexy, even in a fictional setting. BAMFs are sexy, no matter where they are.
This collection is dedicated to the fantastic fiction that combines Logic and BAMF to negate the annoyances that plague Bash-prolific stories. I like a good Face-slapping, but not when the antagonist could get punched through a wall and still not understand why it's happening. So, this is for the self-aware characters that know when and where to slap, and for the self-aware antagonists that know when and where they're being slapped.
Nothing is more satisfying.

Summary
Reality… glitched.
I wasn’t spontaneously teleported to another place. Monsters didn’t start pouring out of holes in the fabric of time. No otherworldly voice spoke words of wisdom or warning in my ear. Had I… had I hallucinated that whole debacle? Did I just imagine the world shifting three degrees sideways and tilting diagonally backwards? No one else was reacting to what had happened, so I had to conclude with a sort of grim resignation that I was obviously losing my mind.
Resolved to pretend nothing had happened, I took a step towards the door.
Abruptly, I was somewhere else entirely.

Toni Stark grows up with the tale of Icarus swirling in the back of her mind. Instead of taking it as a precautionary tale about hubris and overreaching she decides it's more about the limitations of wax.
Years later when she builds herself wings of her own she makes sure to build them out of better material.

A good fantasy world is full of unique settings, new people, and strange cultures. Escapism only works when the problems of this new world are completely unfamiliar to the struggles of our own shitty reality!
Camp Jupiter is all of these things! It has the Ancient Roman equivalent of those pilgrim village cosplayers, an army full of child soldiers, and a strange hybrid culture of modern America and Ancient Rome!
(There’s darkness hiding underneath the shadow of Rome’s relics. You can see them if you look a little too hard into the alleyways, question the leadership’s strange behavior one too many times. New Rome is a gilded cage, and we’re songbirds singing for our masters’ pleasure. Who can we call for help? The gods? The ones which have abandoned us here? We’re alone. No one is coming.)
So come escape from the monsters with me (only to be caught by more human-looking beasts). This is the land of Rome’s greatness, where we know not of evil. All is well here, as you can see. (Help us- Father, please- Somebody!)
