Summary
After defeating the Absolute with Tav, Astarion is glad to have his beloved remain beside him. He didn’t expect it to be easy, living in the Underdark with his siblings and the other vampire spawn. Still, a new manuscript detailing vampire spawn has been discovered, and no one could expect to know what knowledge it reveals - about Cazador, about the other spawn.
Tav is a human Paladin, with an Oath of Devotion that has guided her and her companions through the events of Baldur’s Gate 3, saving as many beings as possible and protecting the weak and defenseless, as is her tenet. But she also has a secret that she has yet to tell anyone… That it’s time to tell Astarion …
But there is so much more to it than either of them know.

My hand shifts to his thigh as I lean close, my breath grazing his ear. “I heard once the ears are the most sensitive part of an elf’s body. Tell me, is that true?”
I start to trail kisses along the edge of his ear.
He shudders.
His thigh tenses beneath my palm, and a low, involuntary breath escapes, caught between restraint and surrender.
“Ohh… fuck,” he whispers, the word falling like a prayer. His fingers grip the loveseat, nails biting into velvet. “Whoever told you that,” he rasps, “deserves to be ruined entirely.”
I pull back just enough to let him breathe, smirking at the sight of his lashes fluttering half-closed.“You’re playing a dangerous game, my sweet,” he murmurs, voice frayed at the edges. “One more kiss like that, and I may just forget we’re surrounded by wolves.”
His crimson eyes burn into mine, hunger unveiled, unmasked. And then, with a voice like embers poured over wine:

As their bond deepened, instead of gaining clarity, Astarion found himself more and more often second-guessing what was going on inside Tav’s head. Too frequently, when Tav looked at him with those sharp, unreadable eyes, Astarion found himself at a loss for words.

Stormi sighed quietly in relief, unfortunately her computer didn't get the memo to shut up.
“Fuck you! And fuck everything you've ever done to me!” Astarion’s own voice rang out over her speakers before she slammed the laptop shut and clutching it to her chest, hoping, praying he didn't think too much of it.
“No, on second thought I think I'll keep this one.” The elf walked closer to the girl with her laptop, now wide eyed, pale and shaking in fear, she knew who he was and what sort of tendencies he had, could she survive him? Would he send her home after whatever he summoned her for is finished? She already knew the answer, a resounding NO.
It was a bad day to choose to fight Cazador in Baldur’s Gate 3.
