Cheng Xiaoshi is assigned to the job on short notice. He’s 22, a former basketball player with a laid-back attitude and a love for photography. He doesn’t exactly fit the mold of a typical bodyguard. He talks too much, doesn’t act formal, and has no intention of staying invisible.
At first, Lu Guang wants nothing to do with him. Their relationship is cold, tense, and marked by silence, sarcasm, and awkward car rides. But over time, the forced closeness starts to wear down the walls between them. They begin to understand each other, slowly, unexpectedly and what started as a business arrangement starts to feel like something more personal.

Just as he finished the sentence, the large factory doors slammed shut behind Lu Guang, plunging the factory into near-total darkness. Lu Guang was alone, face to face with the enemy, and a trap he had walked into with his eyes wide open.
Lu Guang glared at him and scoffed, “That's one of the worst things I've heard today! How could you say that we’re alike?”
Liu Xiao snickered. On the contrary, this was the most amusing thing he has heard today.
"Ugh," Lu Guang said, his voice cutting through the laugh. "You're here because you want something. So, what is it?"
Liu Xiao's smile didn't falter. "So direct. I like that. It's one of the things I've always admired about you, Lu Guang. You cut to the chase."

After Cheng Xiaoshi wakes up from a fight with Lu Guang, he finds that Lu Guang has mysteriously vanished and in his place is a stray cat he seemed to have let into the house before his disappearance... the cat is very simliar to Lu Guang in both looks and personality, and Cheng Xiaoshi is shocked that Lu Guang managed to find a cat that looks just like his stuffed animal.
