Summary
Ivan didn't kill himself, but he wish he did. Instead, he hallucinated it. He watched the ground near his face, thought he felt the cool air on his skin as he fell, before he was jolted to reality. There, in his bed, sweating and hyperventilating, his eyes blurred by tears. Andrew was gone. Long gone.
He needed to apologize. To make amends. To tell Andrew everything he didn't get to say back then, on the night he left. Even if Andrew just told him to screw off. Ivan's conscience was on the line, and that meant anything more than his ego. Than his pride. Than the fact he knew Andrew would shut the door in his face.
Or, Ivan finds where Andrew lives and says his little speech. Some additions made, but still just like the one he made up in his own head.

Summary
The aftermath of Scene 16.
Andrew finds out about Ivan's suicide by the news. He doesn't know what to feel or do, but he goes to Ivan's house to comfort Ivan's mother. Andrew hates Ivan, not people associated with him. He goes on to confront Ivan's mother about what his son did by a letter, which at first is hesitant to send, but then again, people deserve to know the truth.
Andrew then tries to salvage the letter which Ivan had wrote for him, reading it one time just to understand how Ivan felt. And possibly for Andrew to fix up his own broken feelings about Ivan.
Andrew attends Ivan's funeral later on, and understands how Ivan felt after a mistake that could change his perception of Ivan's physical appearance forever.

So he would hear, and he'd listen.
He wouldn't try to find or bother Andrew.4 years ago, he would've broken down if you told him he was capable of being better. Would've told you you're lying to him.
Now, if you said that, he'd just smile and say he's already become better– and filled that void where the unhappiness used to settle.
