“The barely alive Hydra agents we keep finding might disagree,” Sam replied, and Bucky gave him a sad look.

Six months after the events of the Winter Soldier, Sam is still searching for Bucky. Bucky is hunting for revenge. They make a deal — simple: find Brock Rumlow, then Bucky agrees to one meeting with Steve.

Putting on those wings was everything Sam had ever dreamed of. Flight, real flight, not blocked by a helicopter or jet or anything. Plus Riley- not just his bunkmate, not just his partner, but his best friend. His wingman.

But then another missile whistled towards them, and Riley must not have seen it, this time.
Sam dodged.
Riley didn’t.
Riley fell.

Rhodes fell.

Joaquín fell.

In other words, a look at Sam's relationship with flight and the people who flew beside him.(Basically I realized there's a lot of parallels between Riley and Joaquín and then realized he saw Rhodes get shot down too and went 'hmmm he's witnessed a lot of people die/get critically injured with no way to save them despite his best efforts... wouldn't it be a shame if someone were to... write about that')

Despite all it had taken to finally embrace the title, at times it still feels surreal for Sam, the shield still a tad too heavy in his hands.
Turns out being Captain America isn’t all about bringing down the bad guys. Since the whole Flag Smashers fiasco, Sam’s been doing everything from organising the new Avengers Initiative, to making public appearances all over the country, to spending time in DC navigating murky political waters.
Getting back to Delacroix was becoming less frequent and more often than not he ends up crashing at Bucky’s pad in Brooklyn.
Sam didn’t think that was a problem… until it was.

Summary
The squaddies never take off their costumes. It really bothers me. The existence of body odor and bodily waste has been confirmed. Those costumes must smell. It's not like in Steven Universe where they're molded on to their bodies or Steven just having a billion copies of the same outfit, I think they're genuinely wearing the same thing day after day. Do they just shower in them? Tony's wearing a full body metal suit how is he supposed to shower in it?
Anyway this is my solution to that. Be warned there is grooming. Not in a predatory way in a 'licking you to clean you' way.
