This started as a fun little game on Tumblr, which I named Thermo Thirst Game. One of those that unlocks new levels (meaning a new drawing) the more likes and reblogs you get. I of course started with Staticmoth, as it is my main Ship.

For the last several decades, there has been one constant in Alastor's life: Vox's obsession with him. Oh, he mocks and teases and humiliates the man for it - he cast Vox aside like a worn out overcoat when he stepped too far over the line - but somewhere deep inside, Alastor needs Vox's attention just as much as Vox needs his approval.
It's a cyclical thing - and when Vox shows up to the hotel, focused on his own goals, Alastor is absolutely certain that the old, pathetic, obsessive Picture Box he once held a fondness for is still in there.
He just needs to draw him out.

“Double bass,” Vox murmured into Alastor's ear, static darting over his waist where blue claws gripped him tight. Vox's signal was warm, soothing – but filled with a certain restless energy, his good mood buzzing against Alastor's skin.
Alastor nodded, prepared for the strum of strings when they joined the melody of the band as his steps followed Vox's. He was content to let the other man take the lead – for now. Particularly given the fact that Vox was keeping an eye on things for them, smoothing out Alastor's nerves before they even properly managed to twist themselves into a panic.

Months after the events that saw Alastor's deal broken, Lilith brought low and his freedom secured, Alastor still has some things to deal with. It was bad enough when he couldn't stand to walk into an elevator - but to be afraid of live music? Something must be done.
Luckily, his clever Picture Box has been thinking up a solution.

Vox rolls his eyes. “Yep.”
“And Valentino is expecting you to use me to relieve that.”
“Yep.”
“But you are not planning on raping me?”
Vox flinches. “The fuck? Of course not! I mean—” His flush brightens. “I could. Don’t think I couldn’t, or wouldn’t. I will have whoever I want, baby! But that’s not the sort of win I want over you. I know it wouldn’t break you, and that’s no fun. And you’d hate it.”
“I think that is rather the point,” Alastor says, slowly, like he’s talking to an idiot.
Valentino is fed up with Vox obsessing over their captive but not following through and decides to push the issue by drugging him. It changes nothing, and everything.
