All that was required to thwart the Dance as we know it was a daughter born of Old Valyria, of salt and blood, fire and darkness.
Laenor just wished the Targaryens weren't as dysfunctional as they were. The blood of the dragon runs thick, Daemon had told him once, apparently it makes them thick.
In which the Gods of Valyria (and me) say no to the Dance and as a result we are served with Targaryen realness and dysfunction.

The loud redheaded girl in his ballet class (what was her name again) is his only friend, if he can even call her that. His scholarship is the only thing keeping him hopeful, and the way people keep pointing out to him that he’ll never make it in the world as a dance major alone is starting to wear on his fragile nerves. He’s going to wait tables for a lifetime if that shit’s true!
Being an Omega was hard enough, especially when he’s told that he has a rare genetic condition that prevents him from spending heats safely and comfortably alone, meaning that he’s going to have to find an Alpha and fast.
The night of the first big party, everyone is either drunk or dancing, and Yuri finds himself striking a rather unconventional deal with the only student on the floor besides him that actually studies.Otabek? Was that his name? In any case, Yuri finds himself a study partner (plus a little more) in the quiet young man that he maybe, maybe, sort of likes as more than a friend.
Otabek may be an Alpha, but he's also sweet and kind, and...hiding something, if Yuri's hunch is right.
