To show his true strength in the trial of seven, Omega Aerion drinks wildfire earlier than in canon but this time it doesn't kill him. It turns him into the beast he always thought himself as, just with less control than anticipated.
Alpha Dunk is sent on a quest to bring Aerion back to himself after he flew off in exchange of pardon for his crimes. Nobody informed him he would have to tame the dragon that was the prince, who is a lot more pleasant as a scaly beast.

Summary
“I see you there, you know,” the alpha calls out to Aerion. “Are you the stable boy?”
Aerion’s eye twitches at the mere thought of him being a stable boy. This man, honestly, what a brute to assume such a thing.
He wants nothing more than to bite the alpha’s head off, but instead, he just settles for biting his lip to keep his anger at bay. He cannot draw attention to himself.
“No,” Aerion snaps at the brute, readjusting the hood of his cloak to make sure it stays on and conceals his hair. “Leave.”
He cannot let anyone see it, lest he wants to be returned to his father.
“Nothing to be ashamed of if you are,” the alpha tries to placate him. “It’s a decent job to have.”
Then, to Aerion’s horror and annoyance, the alpha tosses him a coin, one that proceeds to land by Aerion’s feet.
aerion runs away to escape an arranged marriage and ends up meeting a brute of an alpha at a stable, out of all places.

or: Steve accidentally time-travels into the past, to the time of the children-experiments and one year before the massacre. While he is held hostage in the Lab, he needs to protect baby Eleven and all the other kids (if they like it or not), try to not tell Brenner and his soldiers too much about the future and also work with the blooming obsession of noone else than Vecna/Henry Creel himself. Easy, right?

It's Jeff, in the end, that finally badgers Eddie enough to let Steve be dragged over to their table- into Hellfire, and Dungeons & Dragons, and hopefully right into Eddie's arms- after Steve intervenes to stop Jeff being harrassed in the halls.
Now Eddie just needs to figure out what he's going to do with all of it.

The party managed to survive the battle with the Mind Flayer. Of course, not without a few bruises and an unconscious Henry Creel. Nothing too crazy. Not at all. He was just as trapped as the twelve children, information they acquired thanks to Will and El, or else; heads would have rolled. Now stuck with a former serial killer (was it even his fault?), the party must learn to move forward and face the dangers that still haunt Hawkins. Meanwhile, Henry must navigate through the web of trauma, facing his past, and deal with a bunch of teenagers that will try to kill him in his sleep the first chance they get (he doesn’t blame them). But of course, this is all easier said than done.
(fix-it since that finale was bad and thankfully we have fanfiction)
