Leo mourned the loss of Pug’s warm hands against his neck once his handkerchief was properly tied. “You look perfect.”
“So do you,” Leo said, his voice little more than an exhale. Pug had stolen his breath, simply by existing in the same space as him. “You always look perfect, P’Pug. It’s like you walked right out of my dreams.”
Those bright, twinkling eyes were focused entirely on him, scanning his face, as if he was looking for something. Leo naturally bent towards him, like a flower seeking sunlight. He was drawn in by Pug’s gravitational pull, stuck in his orbit. And when Pug’s tongue darted out to lick across his lower lip, as if preparing himself for a kiss, he really couldn’t hold himself back anymore. He leaned forward with the intention of connecting their lips.
