Dazai Osamu never talked much.
The adults would ask him polite questions – how is school going? What are your plans for the future? – but Dazai would always give non-committal, one-word answers. He wasn’t really doing it on purpose; he just found the mundane questions quite uninteresting.
Truthfully, he seemed to find everything uninteresting.
That’s why it was perfectly reasonable to not have a reason to live, right? Who would want to live in a world where they didn’t even like doing anything?
But that was before he saw the sun, crashing down into his life, incinerating everything it touched.

Summary
Dragonfolk, or wyrms, are common in day to day life. Taking the appearance of full dragon forms, humanoid forms with draconic traits, or even near perfect human forms. The fact of life is that they are found all around Yokohama, Japan, and the world as a whole.
The Armed Detective Agency doesn’t have any dragon of their own in their employment, but when they get a call for help regarding a rogue dragon on the coast that’s scaring the locals, they can’t turn down the offer. With Ranpo confidently saying they could recruit the dragon, they have high hopes and much confidence.
The only problem… none of them know how to deal with a potentially aggressive rogue dragon. So they have to find someone who does know. Enter the Port Mafia, who are just so kind enough to send their “Best Dragon Rider” to help: Nakahara Chuuya.No one could prepare themselves for the chain of events, and the history, this would reveal about the missing “Black Wraith” dragon of the Port Mafia.

"You’ll what?”
“You heard what I said, shitty Dazai. He doesn’t want you. Not a single one of them does, but I do. So you’re going to fucking stay here, because you don’t get to leave me again.”
“I’m not participating in this weird ass fantasy where we spend the rest of our lives together. I’m not him and you know it,” Dazai bites out, renewing his efforts to get out of his bindings.
Nakahara’s hand shoots out to pin him against the couch and stop his movements. “I know. Of course, I know that. But he owed me, and now he's fucking dead so you’re the one that’s going to pay on that debt. So, I am going to fucking keep you and when the times comes, I’m going to be the one kill you. You don’t have anything waiting for you out there, and you know it.”
Finally, Dazai stills. He tries to formulate a response, but he's not stupid, and there's no denying the truth. Slowly, he nods, and from above him, Nakahara grins.

As it stands, there are currently two truths and one lie:
1.) Nakahara Chuuya is dead;
2.) Nakahara Chuuya is still alive, and is killing off mob bosses, upstart gangs, and anyone who's ever dared to oppose the Mafia;
3.) Someone else is posing as Nakahara Chuuya, and this person doesn't know a thing about Chuuya's past, including Dazai.(Or, alternatively, that one story where some heroes either die, or live long enough to see themselves become the villain.)
"You really don't remember anything? Nothing at all?"
"Nope, but if there's one thing I know - "

“That’s nice,” he repeated, speaking louder, “your watch.”
cooperation was not a word that akutagawa typically kept in his dictionary, especially not when his greatest living enemy was involved. however, when both of their struggles intertwine, akutagawa is forced to come to an "temporary" agreement with the were-tiger.

Dazai's best friend Oda Sakunosuke has died, leaving nothing but his manuscript and a puppy. Desperate for any connection to the one person who cared about him, Dazai takes in the puppy, but he's not exactly a great dog owner.
That's when Chuuya comes in. He doesn't give a shit about Dazai, but he'll move heaven and earth for a puppy.
A contract is made, living arrangements are changed, and one little German Shepherd puppy gets the best second chance at a family she could have hoped for.
