Ichigo, tired of Grimmjow’s infuriating, overly cocky attitude, decides to break the sixth-espada’s constantly boasted about ‘impenetrable composure’ with a little help from Zangestu and, regrettably, Urahara—even though it'll probably result in him being subjected to one of the creepy bastards psychotic experiments 𝘪𝘧 he's not sent to an early grave. It goes… well, it goes. Honestly? He really needs to get better at thinking things through.

A story in which Ichigo tries to pull a harmless prank and it immensely backfires on him like everything else in his life. Now, Grimmjow has seemingly left him behind. Ichigo pretends he doesn't care but as time passes he slowly begins to come to the realization that something vital has left him—something that could even be called irreplaceable—and this time it's possible that he'll never get it back. All because he decided to pull a dumb prank.

Of course, that means it is the perfect time for a human to begin stitching souls together to create the ultimate weapon.
Pity he didn't get the memo that Kurosaki Ichigo already exists. Kisuke's never been the biggest fan of imitators.
Alternatively; Toshiro gets the worst mission he's been assigned to in years. At least Ichigo makes things interesting.

Summary
What's a soul but a summation of its parts?
When it boils down to it, Ichigo will always have Zangetsu and Ossan. He lost them once, and that nearly destroyed him. Destroyed them. Together again, they won't leave. Ichigo may be odd to everyone else's standards, and his Zanpakutou may be abnormal to everyone else, but really, there were only two people in the world whose opinions mattered to the others.
