Summary
They take a step into the forest, and it’s like coming home. Ace takes a deep breath in, the scent of the trees surrounding them still familiar even after six years away. Luffy giggles and slips his hand into Ace’s. He mirrors the motion with Sabo, swinging their arms back and forth, and for a moment Ace is ten again, with his brothers as his whole world.
Ace glances over at Sabo- his brother is looking around the forest like he’s a little kid again, and Ace feels his smile soften. Sabo meets his eyes for a split-second, and there’s a suspicious shine to his eyes that Ace elects to not tease him about, just this once. “Welcome home,” Ace says instead. Luffy laughs brightly. Sabo blinks one, two, three times, and smiles, heartbreakingly sincere.
“I’m home,” Sabo says.
“We’ve gotta go to the treehouse!” Luffy exclaims immediately after, and starts pulling them forward. Ace and Sabo share a look, laugh, and indulge him.

The married couple had a fight during the first meeting, didn't talk during the second, and then never came again. One of the old ladies broke her hip and didn't return, either. That left the old lady quartet, the possible lesbian couple, and Jason to meet every Friday night, discussing the book of the month.
He loved it.
Jason joins a book club. This leads to more drama than expected.

“‘Sorry’?” Sabo parrots, not sure he heard correctly. There’s a dull sort of horror blooming in the pit of his stomach like a sick flower. “Why ‘sorry’?”
“Ace had his own adventures, and I have mine,” Luffy mumbles, drifting off again. “You have yours, too. I don’t want you to miss them. I don’t want you to miss anybody. Or to… be here when you’d rather be…”
“Luffy—”
“Free,” Luffy manages. “Sabo’s supposed to be free.”

Sanji stumbles, eyes wide, and he barely stops himself from tripping over again. Zoro doesn’t move this time as Sanji catches himself, that smirk curled over his face and his eyes burn bright with a challenge in them that has Sanji’s blood starting to sing.
He pauses for a moment. Oh, oh okay.
